Walking down the halls so hollow
My little heart fills with sorrow
Got used to your nails ticking on the floor
It makes me so sad to know I wont hear them anymore
You were so loving... full of life... a ball of energy
Who would have known sleep would be your enemy
Your toys lay strewn all over the place
& every where I look you stare me in the face
I miss your love, your hugs and kisses
My heart breaks into little pieces
In loving ways you put us to the test
I know you lived you life to the fullest
When saying hello your whole body would wiggle
It was enough to make anyone giggle
When we came home you were there at the gate
For some loving you just could not wait
We MISS you dear DEX
You left us in such a mess
Out in the garden your paw prints I found
Under the vineyard deep in the ground
You made my world a much better place
No hugs before bed time
Not even a lick, its such a big crime
Wait for me dex at the Rainbow bridge gate
When its time come find you, ill try not be late
Stay with me in mind, spirit and soul
Guide me and lead me till I grow old
Visit me often in all of my dreams
Be it in darkness and even sunbeams
